I have to admit, my great plan to catch up bit by bit here and to tell you about everything, needs to be abandonned. The amount of things that have happened here in one full year is so much, I simply stand no chance to ever put it all into detailed entries.
Which is why I have decided to give you an overview within very few entries, so you are all finally caught up. However, knowing myself the "overview" will become a very detailed story anyway. Which is why I will use sub headings, which will hopefully make it a bit easier for you to follow everything and find paragraphs again in case you needed to stop reading.

August bis November 2013 - Meine Zeit als Agent bei EIMS - Teil 1
August until November 2013 - My time as agent at EIMS - Part 1

Summer at EIMS. I keep fighting my way through my first campaign. Feeling like it's sometimes going more, sometimes less successful, even though Stacy constantly told me, the client is happy with my results and how I present them. But to be honest, having been on the same campaign since June... I was starting to feel bored. Admittedly, I didn't dare say anything.
In August we finally christened our roof terrace with a big, fat BBQ, during which Tim Smith himself, our Managing Director, stood at the grill. And we also watched the fantastic Airshow, which takes place every year in Bournemouth. So while most people stood on each other's feet down at the beach, we had it terribly comfy up on the roof while eating, drinking and enjoying the view.

In August I also had a visitor from Germany, from Justi. Besides watching the fireworks, which take place every Friday during school holidays in UK, we also made use of her rental car and took off to Holton Lee for an amazing and very fun geocaching tour.

August until November 2013 - My time as agent at EIMS - Part 3

Back to work related matters. As I said, I was starting to get a bit bored. Imagine having more or less the same conversations each day for 7,5 hours, 5 days a week. This does get a bit ... meh. But then came September around and suddenly things started to become crazy. Suddenly Stacy approached me, telling me he would like to train me for a special project he needs me for on one of his other campaigns. I was happy. Not only did I finally get something new to do, but I also got to work more with Stacy. The following day I almost run into Ivan, another Team Leader, and he merely grins at me and tells me I'll soon be starting on one of his campaigns. You can probably guess how surprised I was. Suddenly I was no longer on just one campaign, but on three. Stacy's special project turned out to be a really interesting challenge, as it was not Lead Generation (which I had been working on until that point), but more Channel. Basically working with partners of one of our clients. Completely different topic than Lead Gen. And Ivan's campaign was Lead Gen, yet still also a little bit different. I definitely had loads of fun with my new campaigns, and also a lot of success. My performance went through the roof and I climbed up on our Leaderboard steadily (that's the ranking amongst the agents, based on their performance). My first campaign was still going on my nerves, but I didn't care that much any more. I finally had something else to do, something where I had so much fun. And more importantly, I finally felt happy again.
Then came Halloween. Ivan, Stacy and Becky, the three newest Team Leaders, organised once more the so called WOW Awards. In a nutshell: in our company we have the so called WOW Board. If you're an agent, every time you get feedback from a client, ideally mentioning the agent by name, you will want to print this feedback and put it up on the WOW Board. Because at the WOW Awards there are different categoriers. One, which is more for Inside Sales, which is Biggest Deal to Close. And then there are the other two categories "most feedback" and "best feedback". Those were the second WOW Awards I was allowed to see. The first ones took place about a month or two after I had joined EIMS. And back then all I could think was that I want to be up on the nominees list one day. I didn't think I'd win any time soon, but my first step would be to make it to the nominees list. Well, then we got to the category "most feedback" - and suddenly there it was. My name. But I didn't win. Which was okay. After all I had reached my first goal. I had been nominated! And then came the most important category, "best feedback" - and suddenly there was my name again! But the other nominees had been in the company for ages, I didn't see the tiniest bit of chance to win. But then they announced the winner for "best feedback", and it was MY name which was all over the screens. I was so perplexed, so surprised, I stood rooted to the spot and people around me had to push me out of the crowd in which I was standing. And then I was suddenly holding my certificate, a bottle of champagne and two really amazing vouchers (one for food, one for business attire). I was close to tears when I tried to give an ad hoc thank you speech. Finally I had found a company, which rewarded my hard work and effort. And as usual at EIMS, after hard work, you play hard. Especially on Halloween (unfortunately it was on a Thursday though and most of us had to work the following day LOL)
